SPI Prep Course
The advantages of training privately in the guiding profession are that you can go at your own pace and spend more time working on the skills which are most important to you. You can train on your schedule and we even provide discounted pricing to help prepare you for guiding exams.
The most beneficial aspect of these trainings is the time you spend in the lead as a guide. This is where you learn the most through applying techniques learned in challenging situations. Our experienced guides have been AMGA trainers for many years and they can effectively coach and give you helpful feedback on your performance in a guiding environment where you will maximize your time, energy, and money by learning at your pace and fine-tuning your abilities.
Spending the maximum amount of time in the lead is what is most critical in developing the abilities to become a capable guide. And to pass either an Aspirant or final Guide Exam you need as much time as possible out in front, with a coach who is there for you.
We do our local rock guide training in Puerto Rico at a variety of crags from 30m to 150m in height in a year-round summer climate.
