The Chugach Range of Alaska is one of the ultimate ski mountaineering destinations in the world and the trips I've taken there with guests these last five years have been some of the best of my life. The scale of the peaks is mind-altering and the terrain absolutely perfect for the art of alpine touring.
Starting each morning with an uphill "stroll" is the perfect way to warm-up for a big day of skiing.
We ski terrain of all angles, always searching out the best snow and most aesthetic lines.
Dug into the side of Denmark Peak on the way up the "Sweet Danish" couloir.
Bottoming out on the "Sweet Danish" couloir.
Tag-teaming the glacier dome of Finland Peak.
Uphill is a time to take in the surroundings.
Spooning tracks on the east ridge of Finland Peak .
Navigating through a maze of crevasses on the way up Finland.
An endless vistas from another Chugach summit - we'll return again soon!
