In these typical October conditions, the Lambslide Couloir becomes a moderate (WI-1) ice route and can be linked to the Kieners, Notch Couloir, or Eighth Routes on the east face of Longs Peak for a long alpine outing (4800' from the car).

The Lambslide couloir can also be climbed to it's top where it joins the Loft which can be connected with Clark's Arrow to the summit of Longs or head straight south up easy terrain to the summit of Mount Meeker.  By November, this ice will likely be covered with snow until the heat of next year's summer reveals this hidden ice gem.
