This massive escarpment which extends from the east above the Loch all the way west for two miles to the Continental Divide is known in its entirety as the Cathedral Spires.  The Stilletto is near the western end of the escarpment, adjacent to Taylor Peak with the Saber being about mid-way between the Divide and the further east-facing Cathedral Wall.  Together, this compilation of swaying spires, massive buttresses and soaring walls make for some of the best gneiss climbing in Rocky Mountain National Park. This photo was taken on June 18th, 2008 from the base of the east face of Taylor Peak.
