Joy and Tribulation is a three pitch 5.9 trad routte that takes the competent leader to the top of the Bookmark Formation.  Solid skills in slab, fist crack, stemming and chimneying are mandatory for smooth passage and a bit of joy at having completed this 1969 FA.  The first two pitches of Fantasy Ridge are the standard approach to this final 60m endurathon of Lumpy Ridge at its best.  Here, Lisa Foster demonstrates the open minded approach to tackling this multi-faceted chimney pitch.
