The west face of Longs Peak before the winter storm started on Dec. 5th, 2007
The Trough Couloir which bisects the west face of Longs Peak and rises almost 3,000 vertical feet up to the summit is one of my favorite wintertime climbs in Rocky Mountain National Park as it affords a more direct and less avalanche prone climb to the summit of the park's most majestic peak.
