The Citadel is one of the most inspiring, yet least visited cliffs on Lumpy Ridge.   Likely this is due to the more lengthy and complicated approach combined with a dearth of moderate routes.  Those few who have cimbed here consider the Citadel one of Lumpy's best cliffs and a very scenic spot to view the peaks and valleys of Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado.
