Patrick Edlinger, one of the greatest free climbers of the 80's, demonstrates his smooth ability on the long and exposed routes of the fantastic Verdon Gorge in southern France.  Patrick still resides in the small town of Palud which sits above the north rim of this amazing canyon.  For more photos of the Verdon Gorge, click here.

A short video from a post-Thanksgiving workout on the Lumpy Ridge, Twin Owls classic:  Coyote (12b).   Coyote is a classic bolted arete on the Twin Owls Formation of Lumpy Ridge that was first ascended by Mike Caldwell in 1989. This video was edited to remove the excessive chalking and breathing involved on this cloudless, warm breeze day at 8,000' . Music courtesy of Habib Koite' and his band Bamada; a very talented musician from Mali and from their CD - Muso Ko.

Steph Davis and Dean Potter doing their respective free-solo dances and basejumps.

Eli Helmuth climbs a few new boulder problems and a classic arete in the Ishinca and Llanganuco Valley's of Peru.  All footage is from an October 2009 trip in the Cordillera Blanca Range of Peru during a ClimbingLife Guides mountaineering expedition in the 'White Range'.  The music 'Wasted (Reprise)" by Pearl Jam from their new CD- 'Backspacer' accompanies this video, all filmed well above 14,000' with temperatures in the 30-40F range.

Eli Helmuth of ClimbingLife Guides gives a conditions report from Longs Peak on September 24th, 2009 along with footage from a mixed climbing route on the south face of Mount Lady Washington done with CLG apprentice guide, Mike Arnold.  Music from Pearl Jam's highly recommended new CD- Back Spacer.   Check it out here.

Chris Sharma working the moves on his latest 5.15 first ascent, Pachamama (Mother Earth), in Oliana, Spain. This was filmed in March of 2009 and he redpointed the route in May.

The commute from base-camp on the ridge is over: the team commits to the wall. Life in the vertical world is based out of two hanging portaledges. Kevin and Conrad push the line higher into virgin terrain as Alex, Mark & Jimmy drop below to free climb pitches previously aid climbed. Alex shows how free climbing on first ascents, climbing without pulling on any mechanical devices, is a bold progressive climbing style.

The rain has been torrential with only a small solar window each morning, so video size remains small. Best, reo.

The team tops out the wall and tags the summit. Thanks for checking the posts from the field out here in the Borneo alpine! ~reo

Short film made of a few "trash" or unsuccesful shots from Adam Ondra's latest visit in Zillertal.

Adam was training ON-SIGHT climbing for the upcoming World Cup competition. If he didn't succed, he just finished the route AF (all with 1 sit only) and left to try another "ON-SIGHT". You can see the effort he gives to his climbing.

So here are some "harder" routes from this great climbing area, performed by A.O in one of his bad days...

Who said that Adam is the shy and calm boy? :-D
